WE created an online experience to help people learn about how Microsoft is making a difference for the environment.
Microsoft sought a creative strategy that would ensure the Windows 7 joint campaign with Saks Fifth Avenue was a hit with consumers, the media and key influentials. The holiday campaign, called Twinkle, involved sharing Saks famous holiday window display with Windows 7 to promote the new softwares launch and tie in the related Microsoft products Saks carries. Microsoft needed to build substantial buzz and awareness about this campaign before, during and after the windows unveiling.
WE Studio D met this challenge by creating a series of visual, video, social media engagement and campaign monitoring solutions:
Windows Holiday Theme Pack. Based on artwork from the Twinkle campaign and Saks windows, WE Studio D created digital wallpapers with Win7 and Saks logos, which served as downloads in Microsoft's Theme Gallery.
Twitter In-Store Entry Portal. We created a Twitter channel for customers to directly tweet their wishes via an in-store kiosk.
Facebook Quiz. To stir engagement with Facebook fans, we designed a survey to subtly introduce people to Twinkle and make the connection between the holidays, fashion and Windows 7 PCs.
Twitter Aggregator. Our Web tool provided a full screen of real-time tweets containing specific keywords and topics related to the campaign.
Digital Postcard. We designed a simple HTML email that can be sent by staff on behalf of Saks customers, a preexisting Web mail form or the customers own Web mail client.
